Painting my life by horoscope

Okay, so I've become recently obsessed with reading my horoscopes. I know I'm not the only one... although others may be reluctant to admit that they do. I read the Star's because we get the paper every morning, and occasionally I'll read the Metro's.. and 24 hours (only because they'll rate my day and every day seems to have good fortune in store for me). But my favourite has to be MSN.ca where the important stuff is free. They break it down by Day, Rising Sign, Weekly, Monthly, Number, and the ever so enlightening Lovescope.

Fine, fine. I am crazy. BUT! I don't dictate my life by my horoscopes although I have jokingly said to Thom that I will make a point of doing that. Sometimes I think my curiosity get's the better of me, and I begin to see that absolutely all of my predictions come true. Whoever writes them must be fucking brilliant because they write it so that it's general enough to apply to everyone in that zodiac sign, but worded that it still seems specific to the person reading their it.

Eventhough the horoscopes are categorized under the Entertainment section, I don't think people know how far back readings go. At Buddhist temples, you can still have a reading from a priest. I've heard of stories where women have had their's done years ago and the priests actually predicted things such as the year they'd get married, years they'd have children, and even points in life where they'd be afflicted with a serious illness. I do believe the characteristics of people that fall into each zodiac sign though. I've read so many books about it, they always seem to be spot on with me. However, it's interesting to note that everyone is supposed to have the wrong zodiac signs since constellations go into the wrong sign at the wrong dates. It goes back to how they made the charts in ancient times and the precession of the equinoxes. So I guess there is no real basis for being able to read your horoscope or proof that you should believe it since everything is tits up anyways. Except that it really is fun.

DAILY
Actions may be quick and intense today, p. Things may hit you
like lightning, so be prepared for just about anything. Mentally stabilize
yourself before interacting with others. Dress in such a way that demonstrates
your power. You are a force to be reckoned with, not one to be stepped upon.
Violent emotions are apt to spring up. Don't fight the natural urge to release
any anger that you might have built up. Just direct it
appropriately.

RISING SIGN
Today's trine between Pluto and the Moon is reminding you that
if you want to go for an outing today, make sure to bring along a good friend.
At first you may think that there is no time to do this sort of thing, even in
your daily routine. You will find, however, that you can squeeze things into
your life if you want to. Sometimes it is much easier to get motivated when you
have someone with you who is on the same page in terms of what to do and how to
have fun doing it.

WEEK
Week of January 2, 2006: Your relationships are still sparky
and feisty, but this at least is keeping you on your toes. As Jupiter continues
to move through your sign, you are discovering just how much you can achieve

Scorpio, if you have a strong gut feeling now, then you can

misunderstanding. It could turn into a power struggle, but all will be forgiven
